Stability tests

When compounds are swallowed they travel through the digestive tract where they can be subject to instability. In some cases compounds may degrade (fall apart) or can be inactivated (reduced survival of bacteria) when interacting with gut juices. Therefore it is essential to investigate compound stability in simulated gut juices, hence in biorelevant media. They will give you an insight on how your product behaves under conditions of the whole digestive tract.
