Why include Biorelevant Medium in working standard solutions (WSS)

It is important to include biorelevant medium when diluting secondary standard solutions (SSS) as it keeps the matrix of the working standard solutions (WSS) and biorelevant dissolution samples similar. Inclusion of the biorelevant medium helps identify if HPLC injection of the working standard solution (WSS) at the desired wavelength (nm) has any additional (non-drug) peaks and biorelevant medium peaks which could potentially interfere with drug analysis.
