Biorelevant products, used within 1 month of first opening, will make test media that give accurate and reproducible results for determination of in vitro drug dissolution and solubility. 

If the powder is used after 1 month of opening, the quality and physico-chemical properties of the products can change and deteriorate, leading to potential false interpretation of the results. This can particularly occur if the medium, such as FaSSIF, is used for experiments that explore precipitation or supersaturation.

Therefore, it is strongly recommended to follow the usage and storage instructions biorelevant, for all our multi-use products: use them within 1 month of opening.

The symbol (left) that is used on the label indicates that the product should be used within one month after first opening. 

If you carry out solubility or mini dissolution studies with biorelevant media, it is recommended to use Mini Prep Kits for preparation of smaller volumes of biorelevant media to minimise wastage and improve reproducibility of your results.
